Wi-Fi and what it does for you and your phone.

The first and most important thing with using Wi-Fi is that when you are using a Wi-Fi connection you are not using your data plan. Also being on Wi-Fi can save your battery life. To use Wi-Fi go to settings>wireless and network>Wi-Fi settings>Wi-Fi make sure the box is checked to turn Wi-Fi on. When your phone scans for a network if it says Unsecured underneath it that means the network is open (there is no password) if it says secured there is a password that you must know. Once you are connected to the wireless network your phone is no longer using internet off of your 3G mobile network it is using the wireless network that you are connected to. Being off of the network while in Data Roaming is the most beneficial. Why? When roaming your phone searches for towers constantly for example, since you are out of Inland Cellular’s network towers it will search for something like Sprint, Verizon, and U.S. Cellular towers to find which has the best service. When your phone is searching for all of these towers constantly it drains the battery faster. Connecting to a Wi-Fi connection while Data Roaming will help the battery life, in that it is no longer searching for Data on a different tower, thus being on Wi-Fi the phone will no longer search for a Data network. One note is to make sure that Wi-Fi is unchecked when not using it as this could wear down the battery. There are lots of different

Wi-Fi apps to help manage Wi-Fi on your phone just search wifi in Google Play.

WiFi Manager “An easy way to manage Wifi connections. Includes beautiful widgets. Find, connect, manage WiFi networks. Improve connection quality with a graphical channel radar. Discover open networks around you.”

Wifi Finder “Never worry again about not finding a Wi-Fi internet connection. Wi-Fi Finder is simply the best app for finding free or paid public Wi-Fi hotspots online or offline—perfect for Skype users on the go!”

Are you a Realtor? Check out the apps we have for you!

The key to building anything successfully is having the right tools. As a Realtor the right tools can be the difference in closing a sale and it falling through the cracks. With real Estate being the fast paced market that it is, a Realtor needs access to information as quickly as possible. Why not have all the information you need in the palm of your hand? All large portion of the tools you need are available on your Android phone powered by none other than Inland Cellular.

A useful app for any Realtor is the REALTOR.com Real Estate Search (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.move.realtor&feature=nav_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwxLDMsImNvbS5tb3ZlLnJlYWx0b3IiXQ..). Find listings on the go and see where any properties are located on a map so you can find them easier. If you have time before an appointment you can set up a rout to follow with several houses within a certain area so you can keep track of what you have seen and where to go next.

Another app with similar features is the Zillow Real Estate & Rentals app (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.zillow.android.zillowmap&feature=search_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwxLDEsImNvbS56aWxsb3cuYW5kcm9pZC56aWxsb3dtYXAiXQ..). With Zillow you can filter home searches by price, bedrooms, bathrooms or keywords. The Zillow app helps you be more efficient with status notifications for saved properties or notifications when new properties become available. Both the Zillow app and the Realtor.com app have great reviews but it never hurts to double check the list of supported devices to make sure that it is a tool that you can take advantage of.

As a Realtor there are many different different ways to keep notes on dimensions and room sizes. Why not have a visual picture with dimensions on them? You can do just that with the My Measures & Dimensions app (

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=si.sis.mymeasures&feature=search_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwxLDEsInNpLnNpcy5teW1lYXN1cmVzIl0.). Simply take pictures with the camera on your phone and make notes on the picture of any dimensions you want to keep track of. Now the phone itself will not measure the wall so you need to have a tape measure handy but once you have them you simply add them to your picture. Now you do not have to keep drawings around with the measurements and notes you need. Simply store them on your phone and stream line your business.

All Realtors know how important their clients value a safe neighborhood. When it comes to selling a home a safe neighborhood can make or break a deal, that is why having the Sex Offender Search ( https://play.google.com/store/search?q=sex+offenders&c=apps) app is such a valuable tool. Use the Sex Offender Search app to see if and how many sex offenders there are in any given neighborhood. The value this app has with people considering a home purchase is priceless.

There are many other apps for your Android phone powered by Inland Cellular that will help streamline and make any Realtors job more effective and efficient, because having the right tools is the first key to success!

Must Have Business Apps

Hey there small business owner, let me help you Turn It On!

Lend me your eyes for a minute so I can show you a few apps for your Android Phone, powered by none other than Inland Cellular, that will make business more fun and efficient!

First off, Google Drive is a must have application for your Android phone! Keep all your documents, pictures and other files at bay with Google Drive. Access them anytime, anywhere with your phone and use them for presentations with your current or potential clients. Google drive stores all your files in “The Cloud” so that you do not have to haul all those same documents around with you.

Speaking of documents, all small businesses need to scan documents of all kinds pretty regularly. It would be sweet if you could scan documents with your phone right? With the Cam Scan app from the Google Play Store you can use the camera on your phone to scan documents and save them in different formats. After you do that you can save them in Google Drive, email them or save them for future use.

Another great app that any business that takes credit card payments would benefit from having is Square. Square is the application you put on your phone that allows you to swipe credit cards! Square will send you a swiper that will plug directly into your phone and allow you to take credit cards anywhere you have wireless service. Now you can make the park, the mall or your home a place of business where you can run transactions.

What is the quickest way to share pictures, files or your personal contact information with someone? The answer to that question is BUMP. Bump is available in the Android Play Store and allows you to share all types of documents by simply holding your phone up to another phone that has Bump and bumping them together!

It is simple to bump a picture, just open the picture and click the share button on your phone and when it asks how you would like to share it, choose Bump. Then hold your phone up next to the person you want to share it with and as long as they also have bump the picture will download to their phone instantly.

These are just a few apps available for your Android phone powered by Inland Cellular that will make owning a small business a walk in the park, as much as possible anyways!

Go get’m!
