Support Regulatory Information

There are various programs in which Inland Cellular participates as part of our responsibility as a cellular carrier. They include:

Universal Service Fund (USF)

This fund was established to: promote the availability of quality services at just, reasonable, and affordable rates; increase access to advanced telecommunications services throughout the Nation; and, advance the availability of such services to all consumers, including those in low income, rural, insular, and high cost areas at rates that are reasonably comparable to those charged in urban areas. More information on USF is at: http://www.usac.org/default.aspx

E911

E911 service allows the 911 call center (known as a PSAP) to see the calling number of the phone that dialed 911. That way, they’ll be able to call the phone back in case it is disconnected. E911 Phase II service allows the PSAP to automatically receive location information from the calling phone in order to speed up the time it takes for emergency personnel to arrive. For more information on E911, click here.

Communications Assistance for Law Enforcement Act (CALEA)

The objective of CALEA implementation is to preserve law enforcement's ability to conduct lawfully-authorized electronic surveillance while preserving public safety, the public's right to privacy, and the telecommunications industry's competitiveness. Important Information Regarding Analog Service

Analog Turn Down Coming Soon!

Attention Inland Cellular Customers:

On August 1, 2009, Inland Cellular will become an all digital cellular carrier. What this means is that as of this date, customers with analog-only phones will no longer be able to make or receive calls on our network.

We are making this change in order to upgrade our cellular system and improving the services we can provide our customers. This new technology does not support the older analog system.

If you have an analog-only phone, please contact your local office, call 800-248-8822, or email us at cellinfo@inlandcellular.com as soon as possible for information regarding some options we have for you.

Upgrading to a digital phone will give you important features, such as:

  • Better call quality
  • Longer battery life
  • Access to potentially life-saving enhanced 911 services (in areas where it is available)
  • Data and text services

We apologize for any inconvenience this transition may cause and thank you for your patience as we continue to improve and modernize our services.

Thank you for your continued business.

Sincerely,

Inland Cellular Customer Support
